That almost redefine the word &#8216;newsworthy.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>The horrific massacre in Paris this week, at the offices of <i>Charlie Hebdo,<\/i>\u00a0is a one such example.<\/p>\n<p>Twelve tragically murdered in cold blood. A telegraphed message by fanatics, in a country famed for ideals and values which carried far beyond borders.<\/p>\n<p>Despicably, and perhaps unsurprisingly, it didn&#8217;t take long for some politicians to try and seize control of the agenda, attempting to twist the incident for their own political gain.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_266\" style=\"width: 239px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jgrainger.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/lepen.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-266\" class=\"wp-image-266 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jgrainger.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/lepen-229x300.jpg\" alt=\"Marine Le Pen\" width=\"229\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.jgrainger.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/lepen-229x300.jpg 229w, http:\/\/www.jgrainger.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/lepen-783x1024.jpg 783w, http:\/\/www.jgrainger.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/lepen-700x916.jpg 700w, http:\/\/www.jgrainger.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/lepen.jpg 1529w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 229px) 100vw, 229px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-266\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">France&#8217;s National Front leader Marine Le Pen<\/p><\/div>\n<p>France&#8217;s Marine Le Pen, Britain&#8217;s Nigel Farage, and the leaders of the German anti-Muslim Pegida movement were all eager to fire off shotguns of rhetoric, using shells of terrorists to condemn a wider community for the actions of a few.<\/p>\n<p>Farage should prompt the most concern, with the next UK general election just four months away and support for UKIP rising, as it is for Le Pen&#8217;s National Front.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">Both the\u00a0Islamist\u00a0attackers and Europe&#8217;s anti-immigration parties have something in common: they seek division\u00a0and to sow fear.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>On Wednesday, Farage briefly exposed his true colours, which are normally camouflaged for the press with friendly chats, sound bites and pictures of him drinking pints.
